6/20/17 Board Meeting
7:05 pm at the Salt Water Tavern

Present: Karen DeBoer, Richard Kasper, Bill Boardman, Tracy Telford, Philip Telford, Sarah Kirwin, Shawn Hyland, Russel Dinoto, Tim Rich, Joan Rich, various homeowners.

Minutes from 4/18/17 were reviewed and accepted as written.

B. Boardman led introductions. He explained the structure of the Board.
Shawn Hyland was announced as the HOA President, the website will be updated accordingly.

A token of appreciation was presented to Audrey and Kevin Pincins for their dedicated service to the Board over the past 20 years.

Treasurer’s Report
All homeowner’s dues are paid up to date except 1; the bill has been undeliverable to that property owner.

Architectural Review Board
The homeowners of 11 Fox Ct presented their proposal for placing solar panels on their house. The roof panels are black-on-black, flush mounted on the front of the house, which faces south. They stated there is no shine or tint from the panels. They are using Evelar Solar, which takes care of following the building codes. The directors voted to approve the panels pending receipt of formal written request.

Landscaping
Park Place completed pet-safe fertilizing of common areas. Homeowner mulching has also been completed.
The tree warden stated the north entrance trees are in good shape and only need trimming.
A homeowner had a question regarding trees needing service in the open space. B. Boardman stated if someone has a concern over a tree in the open space, it should be presented to the board.
R. Kasper will work on a proposal for planting American chestnut trees via the American Chestnut Society.
P. Telford recommended planting fall bulbs with the help of interested neighbors.

Covenants
A homeowner had a question concerning door-to-door solicitors. J. Rich stated a permit must be obtained to solicit door-to-door.

New Business
Dale and Elaine DeJoy presented information on the Evelar Solar Company. Forms were provided to those present. If you would like more information on this business, contact Elaine DeJoy at dejoyelaine@gmail.com

Several board members attended the town council meeting on solar. Zoning approval, state, townand neighborhood restrictions were discussed. Solar panels need to get approved by the ARB on an individual basis. More discussion on solar is needed.

P. Telford is able to post events on the Tefft Hill Facebook page. Send him any neighborhood events you would like posted. He has recently promoted Wakefield local events.

The next meeting is scheduled for August 15th at 7pm at 12 Paddock Court.
